Regional Network Connections

The Three Rivers Optical Exchange provides enhanced regional connectivity by participating in local peering arrangements with regional ISPs. The Exchange peers with the Pittsburgh Internet Exchange (PITX), a local peering point where several Pittsburgh organizations exchange traffic, and Comcast. Local peering improves network efficiency by keeping network traffic local.
